We are Daniel and Lisa Haring, the owners of Oasis Preschools. We live locally and have four children, Isabella, Christiana, Amos and Abigail.
We started our journey in providing Early Childhood care and education back in 2005 when we returned from an OE in England with our first baby to open Granny’s Place. Granny’s Place was opened to specifically care for infants and toddlers in Motueka. At the same time Granny’s Place also supported Oasis Education Centre, which had been established by Pauline Whyte (Lisa’s mum), for 2-5 year olds.
As parents ourselves, we have always been passionate about providing early childhood services that support parents and give reassurance that children are safe, loved and that their development is well supported while they are in our care. That passion has only become stronger over the years as we have opened more preschools to meet demand. Our preschools have always maintained a Christian character that reflects our own family’s faith, it is part of who we are. The values that we hold in our own family are also the values we want to be evident in our business and that underpin the core priorities we have for children’s learning.
Today we are the owners of our four preschools and are very much involved in day-to-day management of the centres. Being local means we can be available when and where needed and to ensure we are offering the very best outcomes for children. Lisa’s mum Pauline has been an Early Childhood Teacher all of her working life and remains involved providing us and our teams with her vast knowledge and expertise as an advisor on the education curriculum each preschool delivers. We are really grateful that we have passionate and dedicated teams that are committed to seeing children thrive.
From starting out as a family business we are really keen to have our preschools feel like extended families to all those we come in contact with.
